Cranston Inquiry The Cranston Inquiry is an independent, non-statutory investigation established on 9 November 2023, following the publication of the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) report. It examines the tragic events of 24 November 2021, when at least 27 individuals lost their lives attempting to cross the Channel from France to the UK in a small boat. Beginning in 2024, Hestia has supported participants in the Cranston Inquiry both at in-person hearings and remotely, ensuring they can engage constructively with the process while prioritising their wellbeing.
