Adult nursing placements Hestia offers community and non-clinical placements in London for adult nursing trainees. What’s involved in a Hestia placement? Our placements will give you a deeper understanding of some of the people you will working with throughout your career and help you develop your skills in a community setting: Gain valuable direct experience working with a diverse group of people outside of a clinical setting – this could include supporting families escaping domestic abuse, people who have experienced mental health crisis, or supporting older people Learn from other professionals in integrated settings Have access to peer support through weekly group supervision What type of placements do you offer? Hestia offers placements at a wide variety of services including: CQC registered care homes - mental health Older adults’ services Domestic abuse services Out-of-hours mental health crisis support Adult day centres A variety of other complex needs services across the whole of London Please note, it may not always be possible to offer your first choice of placement. What will I learn on my placement? Adult nursing students on placement with Hestia can develop their knowledge of a trauma-informed and person-centred approach and what that looks like in practice, learning from experienced professionals on the Hestia team. What hours will I be working? Some of our placements run from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, however due to the nature of some of our services alternative shift patterns may be required. Let us know ahead of time if you have any specific requirements around your schedule and our team will try to accommodate if possible. How do I apply?
