Have you found securing a new job or keeping an existing one a challenge due to a mental health or musculoskeletal condition?

Our free West London Works employment support programme delivered in partnership with the Shaw Trust might be just what you need. We help individuals with mental and physical health challenges to find rewarding employment opportunities to help accelerate their recovery and build a brighter future, using the tried and tested Individual Placement Support (IPS) framework of employment help.

Who is this service for?

  • You’re 18 or over and residents of, or registered with a GP, in Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hounslow, Hillingdon and Hammersmith & Fulham.

  • You have a mental or physical health challenge and want to work as part of your recovery.

  • You’re looking for free one-to-one support to search for, secure, or stay in a job that works for you.

How does it work?

A dedicated Employment Specialist will work with you and your health and/or social care practitioner to provide you with a bespoke support service tailored to your employment preferences. The service will help you to identify your employment goals and create a realistic employment plan that will not impact on your existing benefits.

This programme is part of the national IPS in Primary Care (IPSPC) movement, commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and managed by the West London Alliance.
