The Lantern, Islington (previously Islington Recovery Café) is a service that provides practical and emotional support for those experiencing a mental health crisis. The service is open 365 days a year including bank holidays and residents in the borough of Islington can drop in without an appointment.

When you arrive at the service, one of our Recovery Workers will support you in managing the crisis you are experiencing, identify the cause and develop the tools to build resilience and self-manage any future crisis. There is also space to de-escalate alone if needed before speaking with one of our Recovery Workers.

Therapeutic activities are also available at The Lantern, Islington such as arts and crafts and creative writing.
