Supervisor of the Year Award 2025

This award expresses our gratitude to Volunteer Supervisors who go the extra mile to ensure volunteers feel supported, valued, and empowered in their roles. 

Congratulations to our shortlisted colleagues: Evelina Voicu, Maeve, Presley, Natasha, and Sherina. 

The Supervisor of the Year Award winner is Evelina Voicu.

Evelina supervises nearly 50 volunteers for the Referral Line at any given time while continuously recruiting new members to ensure vital services remain accessible to women and children experiencing domestic abuse. Her leadership and dedication are truly remarkable. 

Despite managing a large team, Evelina ensures every volunteer feels supported, valued, and well-prepared in their role. She actively seeks ways to enhance training and provide additional guidance to help her team succeed. 

Beyond her supervisory responsibilities, Evelina goes above and beyond by offering administrative support—including assisting with DBS checks, promoting events and workshops, and sharing annual surveys with volunteers. She is also a great support to other teams. 

She fosters an environment where volunteers feel empowered to grow, learn, and thrive, ensuring countless women receive the care and support they need.
