Hestia partners with data insight and business intelligence agency Ikano Insight

Hestia is thrilled to announce our new partnership with London-based data insight and business intelligence agency Ikano Insight.

A partnership born out of a time of struggle, Ikano Insight reached out to Hestia during the peak of the COVID-19 lockdown, bringing with them not only vital financial support but their award-winning analytical and tech expertise.

Hestia currently supports over 10,000 adults and children living in crisis across London and the South East.

These individuals faced personal crises before COVID-19, and many of these have only worsened throughout the pandemic. Lockdown has been challenging for everyone, but for those living with profound trauma, coronavirus has heightened fears and prolonged recovery.

Through their generous donation, Ikano Insight have helped us to secure over 100 pieces of digital equipment for our refuges, helping children to continue their education and access our online support sessions. They have also helped families to take the next step into new, independent accommodation – providing support with moving costs, acquiring furniture and everything needed to set up a brand-new home and rebuild their lives after fleeing domestic abuse.

Additionally, the team at Ikano Insight have been able to support the families in our refuges on a personal level through the StoryTime Heroes Project. Over 25 staff across Ikano Insight have recorded their favourite bedtime stories to help bring smiles and new adventures to the children living in our domestic abuse refuges during lockdown.

A team of Ikano Insight’s analytics specialists are also providing fantastic online sessions on Excel skills. After a hugely popular inaugural session, the workshops will be continuing throughout the year for people in our services and our volunteers to help them grasp the power of Excel and gain essential skills for returning to work.

We look forward to working closely and forging a relationship beneficial to both parties. Through skill-sharing, volunteering and daring to be different, both parties are set to make a significant impact on the other and create lasting change.

Karen Pflug, CEO of Ikano Insight said:

“Ikano Insight is pleased to partner with Hestia, a charity which is focused on adding real value to the lives of many people affected by trauma and crisis. When planning how to "give back” to local communities, it was essential for us to choose an enduring and high-quality partner with strong values aligned with our own. Values such as working together, simplicity and daring to be different. In these times of increasingly critical and traumatic challenges for many service users of Hestia, we hope to be having a positive impact on their lives by supporting them in many different ways, as well as providing financial contributions.

Our ambition is to utilise the expertise of our co-workers to help service users at Hestia learn new life skills, feel empowered and face their future with more confidence.”

Jo Tilley-Riley, Director of Communications and Fundraising at Hestia said:

“The partnership with Ikano Insight is already having an incredible impact on the adults and children we support, through their generous financial donation and sharing of their skills by the creative, passionate and enthusiastic Ikano Insight team. Ikano Insight are directly supporting women and children across our domestic abuse refuges to help them prepare for moving on from our emergency refuge accommodation into their own homes, as well as supporting families and children to have access to smart phones and tablets so they can stay connected during these incredibly isolating times.

We are excited to see this partnership grow and develop.
