Hestia launches “Harrow Rise” a new mental health service to empower residents Harrow RISE is a new community-based service supporting Harrow residents struggling with their mental health. We’re working with Harrow Council to make sure support is easy to access. This means, no waiting for a GP or specialist referral. If you need help, you can access the service via the online referral form. At Hestia we work with adults struggling with mental health whether it be: anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious or just not yourself, we’re here to help – emotionally, socially and practically. The service is designed to empower people aged 18 and over including those registered with a Harrow GP. For people at the early stages of feeling unwell – if something doesn’t feel right, you can reach out for support. It is available Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm and will provide residents with the tools and confidence they need to heal, find hope and thrive. Rachel Jasper (Director), Shan Diana Waldron (Harrow Rise Service Manager), Vin Prabakaran (Harrow Cove Service Manager), Twining-Hestia staff team (Shivani Nakrani, Aniksha Patel, Shayna Mistry, Shailen Dabasia, Stephanie Kennedy) Support includes: A safe space to talk things through with trained staff Tools and techniques to manage anxiety, build confidence, and stay well Help identifying what’s causing stress or low mood Support groups and activities to connect to others and reduce isolation The name Harrow ‘RISE’ represents four key elements of the service: Reflect – promoting self-reflection and encouraging regular mental health check-ins. Intervene – offering early help, before challenges grow into crises. Support – through tailored one-to-one sessions and group programmes designed around individual needs. Evolve – helping people grow, adapt, and move forward with confidence and hope. Councillor Anjana Patel (Mayor of Harrow) Patrick Ryan, Chief Executive of Hestia said: “One in four of us will experience a mental health challenge of some kind each year, so it’s vital to have easily accessible support in our local communities. We know that making connections and having a support network makes all the difference when it comes to promoting good mental health and wellbeing. So, we are delighted to be partnering with the London Borough of Harrow to provide this much needed service, which will continue to be shaped by the people who use it. I would urge anyone who is feeling isolated or in need of support in the borough to get in touch.” Our team of trained professionals supports adults who have experienced crisis or trauma – helping them feel safe, rediscover hope, and rebuild a sense of purpose. Whenever someone needs support, we will work with the person to understand their unique needs and offer personalised care. The goal is to help individuals reconnect with their strengths, aspirations, and the confidence. Cllr Jean Lammiman cabinet member for Adult Services & Public Health said: “Mental health plays a crucial role in our day to day lives. This new service ensures Harrow residents can access the right support when they need it. With Hestia’s expert team, we’re helping people recover in ways that work for them. This initiative is a key part of our Wellbeing Strategy and our commitment to launching a new community mental health programme. We want to help people feel good, stay well, and feel empowered. This is just one of the many ways we’re supporting those in need.” Harrow RISE is here to listen, guide and work with you to build resilience, understand your personal triggers, and develop tools to protect your mental wellbeing.
