A new mental health support service has opened in Havering, offering free, confidential help to local people and their carers experiencing emotional distress.

The Reset Hub, a collaboration between Hestia, North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT), and the community, provides a safe, welcoming space for Havering residents aged 18+ who are experiencing mental health challenges and feel unable to cope.

Trained support workers will offer compassionate, non-judgemental support, giving people the time, space and practical help they need to recover and move forward.

  • The service is located at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub on Suttons Lane. The Reset Hub will operate during evenings and weekends when many community and clinical services may be closed.
  • Weekdays 5pm to 10pm, weekends and holidays 2pm to 10pm.
  • People in need of support can walk in, there is no need for an appointment or referral. People can also call the hub on: 0203 8161365.

The service, commissioned by NELFT, has been designed to complement existing NHS and community mental health provision. It offers a more calm, therapeutic environment than A&E for people in mental health crisis, preventing situations from escalating and reducing pressure on emergency services.

We're now the largest provider of non-clinical mental health crisis support in London. We work with people who have experienced crisis and trauma to find safety, hope and purpose. In 2025 we supported 12,163 people across their mental health services.

As part of the launch, Hestia attended the NELFT Patient and Carer Catch Up. Attendees expressed excitement about the introduction of additional out-of-hours mental health support. The Patient and Carer Catch Up group looks forward to supporting the ongoing monitoring of the service, helping to ensure people can access the support they need and deserve.
