David Simmonds MP visits Hestia’s Hillingdon Cove 28 February 2025 David Simmonds MP and Catherine Fallon, Area Manager at Hestia This week, we were delighted to welcome David Simmonds, MP for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner to our Hillingdon Cove. This is a drop-in service where residents of Hillingdon (age 16+) can go if they are struggling to cope or experiencing a mental health crisis. It is open from 2-10pm every day of the year – no appointment or referral required. During the visit, Mr Simmonds had the opportunity to meet with Hestia team members and peer support workers to learn more about the support they can offer – including reducing anxiety, safety planning, and helping to access other services in the area. Commenting on the visit, David Simmonds MP remarked: “I had a really interesting visit to Hestia Hillingdon Cove in Ruislip… I was interested to learn that in Hillingdon, the most common reasons for individuals coming forward to use the service are isolation or past trauma that has been triggered in their everyday life. While based in Ruislip, this serves the whole borough, and I encourage residents who may be interested in further information to visit the Hestia website.” Manage Cookie Preferences
