Hestia’s community-based domestic abuse support in Wandsworth and Richmond

Hestia provides support for women and men in the Wandsworth and Richmond community who are facing domestic abuse.  

This is sometimes called ‘floating support’ because it’s not tied to a specific accommodation. 

The service is safe, confidential, sensitive and non-judgemental.  

Support can include: 

• Safety planning 

• Assessment of your needs and creating a support plan 

• Access to health services 

• Support with claiming benefits and budgeting 

• Getting appropriate legal support and advice/information 

• Immigration issues 

• Interpreters and translators 

• Support clients with child-related issues such as school, health and social services 

• Group and one-to-one sessions  

• Access to educational and training courses 

• Access to employment and volunteering work 

• Assisting with the process of housing and move on 

• Resettlement skills, such as paying bills, shopping and dealing with debt 

• Signposting to other agencies that can provide extra support
