The Montane Winter Spine is widely regarded as Britain’s Most Brutal endurance race. It’s a non-stop, 268-mile race along the most iconic and demanding national trail in Britain; the Pennine Way. Beginning from Edale in Derbyshire, runners have a time limit of 168 hours to reach the elusive village of Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders. Participants will climb over 10,000 meters as the route crosses some of the most beautiful but difficult terrain found in England, including the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall and the Cheviots. It’s a truly epic challenge that tests physical resilience and mental fortitude. Participants will experience the full intensity and ferocity of the British Winter including deep snow, storm force winds and driving rain where temperatures are forecasted to drop as low at -10C!

About Hestia:

Hestia is a charity that supports adults and children in London and the south east during times of crisis, including people who have experienced domestic abuse and modern slavery, people struggling with their mental health, older people and ex-offenders.

Last year Hestia supported more than 14,000 adults and children.

Hestia's services are wide-ranging, and help to address people's emotional and practical needs, whether that's by providing them with a home, offering them support in the community, or working with them to access education or work opportunities. Hestia is also supported by nearly 1,000 volunteers across London who provide specialist skills such as art therapy, yoga, IT, gardening, and cooking.

Please support Rob in achieving his target, and help the thousands of women and children supported by Hestia to a life beyond crisis.
