Could you help us to unlock £5,000 in match funding to support children in our domestic abuse refuges this summer?

Help us to raise £5,000 to unlock £10,000 of funding that will give 150 children a summer filled with smiles, new experiences, and the chance to be children again. With your support, we can make that happen.

  • £500 could provide children with summer essentials like t-shirts, shorts, sunhats and suncream
  • £1,000 could give a group of children six weeks of fun & joyful activities to look forward to
  • £2,500 could give 150 children access to sports like climbing, football, trampolining, and swimming
  • £5,000 could support our education programme for children in refuge, including museum visits, library trips, study and reading clubs - helping children who have missed out on school as a result of domestic abuse.

Our programme runs five days a week  combining creative play, outdoor adventures, and new experiences with vital psychological support, including counselling, CBT, and EMDRWe create safe, joyful spaces where children can heal, build confidence, get creative, and make new friends.

From arts and crafts to beach trips, cooking sessions to sports days, every day is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Most importantly, these shared moments help rebuild relationships between mothers and their children - creating happy memories and stronger, more hopeful futures.

Last year, the impact was clear: 100% of families enjoyed their summer, 95% learned something new, and 91% felt stronger, more confident, and more connected.

With your help, this summer can be the start of something brighter.

What children say about their summer with Hestia:

“These six weeks were the best of my life. I’ve never been to so many places.”

I liked the beach because it made me feel free, and I got to swim in the sea with my new friend from refuge.”

“This is the first time I have seen zoo animals!”

“We feel happy and safe – thank you.”
