Award winners; HSBC, Great Ormond Street Hospital and National Grid alongside Hestia's Everyone's Business and Domestic Abuse Prevention team

Hestia is pleased to announce that HSBC UK, First Direct and M&S Bank, National Grid and Great Ormond Street Hospital received the Everyone's Business Award. This award recognised their support and dedication shown to employees in the workplace who have been affected by domestic abuse.

Each year, over 2.1 million people in the UK experience some form of domestic abuse (ONS). Also 1 in 3 employees have experienced domestic abuse over the course of 12 months*. This means that employers have a vital role in offering employees safe routes to support.

The Everyone’s Business Award is a best practice kitemark awarded by Hestia, in conjunction with the Employer’s Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA), to businesses who have demonstrated their commitment to supporting their employees who are impacted by domestic abuse.

The winners were selected by an independent panel and had to meet strict criteria in order to be considered. The criteria included having a clear domestic abuse strategy, engagement in sector networks, a domestic abuse policy or guidance for employees, and evidence of training. A massive thank you to everyone involved!
